Responsibilities included supervising a Morocco-based team of consultants; managing grants to local youth-serving NGOs and training providers; building relationships with donors, national government counterparts and private sector partners; and providing strategic direction to foster program growth and expansion. Successfully secured additional funding from multiple donors including Silatech Foundation, the Finnish government and USAID/Morocco to replicate and expand pilot programs. Project Director, BridgeIT-Tanzania Provided overall management and technical guidance to the BridgeIT Project, a USAID-funded project that used cell phone technology and digital video content to strengthen math, science and life skills instruction in Tanzanian primary schools. Led project start-up activities including hiring of key staff and consultants, development of program implementation plan, and analysis and selection of technology platform. Responsibilities included overseeing a field office team of five staff; Established effective relationships with the Ministry of Education and key private sector partners Nokia, Pearson Foundation, Vodacom Foundation; providing and coordinating technical assistance to support project's field team; and ensuring knowledge sharing and reporting. Ensured project compliance that program targets were met following official USAID procedures.

Chief of Party, UNFPA Niger Gender Initiative (2002-2004)Provided primary technical and operational management to a UNFPA-funded project in Niger. Program areas were women's legal rights, women's political participation, women's access to reproductive health information and girls' education. Key areas of responsibility included providing technical oversight on activity planning and implementation to a 7-member inter ministerial implementation team, ensuring financial and administrative oversight, and liaising with UNFPA, the lead Ministry and non-government partners.Project Officer, Cisco Gender Strategies Project (2000-2002)Provided primary technical and operational management to a project with Cisco Systems and the Cisco Learning Institute to strengthen gender equity in Cisco's Networking Academy Program. Responsibilities included designing the content for an online gender training module for Cisco's instructor training curriculum, creating web resources on the state of gender and information technology (IT) in fifteen select countries, and developing a pilot program in India to offer Cisco's Academy program to disadvantaged women. Other products included research and publications on opportunities through information technology for women in developing countries.

Initiated project start-up activities for the USAID-funded Reproductive Health for Youth in Mali Project, including identifying potential local NGO partners and assessing in-country program needs.
