I am an artist, executive creative director and innovator. It is likely you have seen my work which has been viewed by millions and has created a significant commercial impact for my clients. My work focuses on what it means to be human in the hyper-age. I specialise in emotion and technology. I am an expert in strategic futures, working across multiple industries; music, tech, fashion, art, dance, screen, marketing and advertising. My work has featured in global exhibitions such as MOMA’s Items: Is Fashion Modern?I co-founded the award-winning fashion and technology lab studio XO in 2011 with Benjamin Males. I launched the wearable technology programme for Philips Design and Research upon graduating from the Royal College of Art. My client portfolio includes Lady Gaga, Wayne McGregor CBE, MOMA, Philips, Nike, Dupont, Walgreen Boots Alliance, Infiniti, The Black Eyed Peas, Intel and Arcade Fire. In 2016 XO partnered with Lady Gaga and Intel to create a hightechtribute to David Bowie generating over $6M in commercial marketing for Intel, XO was awarded a Cannes Lion Gold Award.I am also an accomplished academic and have held positions as a Reader and Course Director across academic teaching, industry relationships, commercial and academic research. My work has been published in multiple books, blogs and press articles.As a consultant I create probes and insight strategies for new business. I develop new technologies, services and systems at the forefront of innovation aligned with human emotion and engagement. I worked with The MIT Media Lab’s Affective Computing Group where wedeveloped the world's first human emotion tracking wearable sensor. I designed a wearable EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor - a world first for the Cannes Lion Festival of Creativity. I partnered with Saatchi & Saatchi on the ‘Feel the Reel’ experience measuring emotional data and generating back personalised holographic algorithmic digital artwork.
