I'm a passionate paraprofessional with eight years of experience collaborating with educators to develop and implement strategies and accommodations that enable students to think critically and creatively. A focus of my work is in developing positive relationships with students and creating a comfortable and safe learning environment.My current responsibilities include:* Collaboration with educators about curriculum and implementing student accommodations* Work with students in small groups or one-on-one for instruction* Monitor student behavior/safety and implement de-escalation strategies when necessary* Communicate clearly and effectively with educators, students, and administration* Maintain CPI/CPR/first aid training and certification* Adopt and utilize technologies with ease (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Canvas, Infinite Campus, Desmos and more)I will graduate from Western Colorado University in 2025 with a degree and licensure in special education.
