Study selection and project negotiation for all potential studies in the Cardiovascular Service Line.Coordinate study set up process from initial Sponsor/Site correspondence through IRB approval.Patient screening, recruitment, consent process and enrollment for ongoing clinical research projects, follow up visits and completion of case report forms.Staff in-services prior to implementation of new research studies.Data abstraction and oversight of Data Collection staff.Coordination of National Registry participation for the Cardiovascular Service Line.

Assist patients and and families with the discharge process including placement, in home care, durable medical equipment and other issues of post acute safety and care.Concurrent review for appropriateness of admission and ongoing stay by Medicare or Private Insurance standards of care.
