Ms. Carpenter frequently works with clients to help them integrate service development goals, strategic planning objectives and policy mandates into a cohesive program. Ms. Carpenter has tailored her consultancy practice to provide hands-on, individualized services to clients. Her project management skills are recognized for consistent, on-time delivery of proposals, reports, and other deliverables. Ms. Carpenter is a skilled facilitator, helping diverse group participants recognize consensus goals as well as the underpinnings for divergent ones while finding common ground. Prior to starting her consulting work, Ms. Carpenter held several positions in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health including developing and directing the Office of Community Health Center Services, and managing the Department’s response to AIDS in the initial 4 years of the epidemic as the first Director of the AIDS Office (then known as the Health Resource Office). She also served as Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Massachusetts Hospital Association, and worked as a health analyst in a health planning agency. Nancy holds Master Degrees in Public Health and Urban Affairs. She volunteered as an adult literacy tutor for over 15 years.
