I am an experienced fundraising professional with demonstrated skills in individual giving, corporate and community sponsorships, special events, and grant writing. Through my career in non-profit leadership I have built a portfolio of experience that also includes budgeting and financial analysis, strategic planning, board and committee development, public speaking, communications strategy, team building and volunteer development. I demonstrate expansive knowledge of donor recruitment, solicitation, cultivation and stewardship strategies. I write effective fund development plans, and am able to quickly identify weaknesses in development activity and create strategies to expand donor engagement. I love creative writing and am a successful grant writer. I also enjoy writing for other purposes, such as appeals, newsletter pieces, and blogs. In all my work, I have most enjoyed the ability to work with others who are committed to making a difference. I have been fortunate to supervise teams of incredibly passionate and skilled professionals who have taught me, as I have taught them. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to significantly impact causes that include improving the quality of child care, increasing access to affordable housing, and building respect for difference.
