This was a school project about creating sustainable solutions according to the SDG’s. Our team’s focus was on SDG 4 - Quality Education.We conceived the idea of an innovative solution providing African middle school students in the rural areas with quality education in their own languages, starting from Ghana.My job as a project manager was to oversee the entire project and bring it to a successful end. I also led the team in pitching the idea to the jury.Our project, Elimu, came up tops with a score of 17/20 and some encouraging and wholesome comments from the jury. According to the jury, our idea moved from average to near-excellence. Our business model was smart and innovative and had a great potential attracting stakeholders and funding opportunities. We were encouraged to keep working on this impactful, even disruptive idea to bring education where it is most needed and most difficult to reach out to. As I pitched the idea, Elimu was adjudged a TOP PITCH with clear business model.
