This broad-based position included corporate-wide methodology, portfolio construction, key account review & monitoring and SOX control & compliance. I was responsible for certain treasury functions including insurance management, bad debt reserves, cash management, fraud checks and monitoring. My team assisted and supported executive management and the Board of Directors by preparing and presenting various strategic and analytical analyses. Additional duties included: key customer negotiations and the development of a global Cross-Border Financing initiative to reduce Seagate’s credit risk, while supporting and expanding the distribution channel, particularly for the emerging markets. Business ownership sold in 2000 prior to joining IBM. Business name was changed to Hudson Valley Publishing in 2003.

Worked directly with the Controller - CPA for six years. Overall responsibility for financial and accounting functions of a $22 million wholly owned subsidiary of Central Hudson Gas & Electric. My scope of responsibility was broad and included interpreting financial and operating data to assist in business planning and decision-making; risk management and reporting, cash management, corporate banking, budgeting, tax reporting, credit and audit management. In 1998, I passed the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credential, which is similar to an engineering degree.
