When I was thinking through who would make the perfect keynote speaker for the IN PERSON Showing Up: Perspectives On Cancer event Sept. 10 in PA, I thought...Who is somebody who inspires me & will inspire those who show up for the event to share their stories in the safe space? In 2021 Nancy Debra Barrows M.S. CCC-SLP created the #RadiatingReal movement, which empowers us to remove our masks & experience the power of showing up. It encourages us to share more personal aspects of our lives on social media, that we're comfortable sharing when we're ready to do so & receive love and acceptance from others. Before I started #RadiatingReal, mostly I created business-related posts. After I started creating #RadiatingReal posts, I wrote about chronic headaches I was experiencing, how my sister who passed away at age 7 and my daughter share the same birthday, many other things I had not shared publicly before, which connected me with people on a much deeper level - AND EVENTUALLY ... in June 2021, I started sharing my story of living with leukemia for 15 years, first on Jenny Gold 's show #PodcastNotPodcast, then on Nancy Debra Barrows M.S.
