As Executive Director for the Washington Student Association, I am responsible for the organizational and financial management of the statewide association. This duty includes general budget management, financial development, managing organization dues, managing internal and external relations, event planning, and overseeing staff as well as a team of student liaisons. Over the legislative session, this association advocates for the advancement of higher education policy statewide which includes further roles such as stakeholder relationship building and overseeing all governmental relations and strategy.

I am tasked to developing and leading a legislative advocacy training course for high school and college students. We have taught over 200 students (in English and Spanish). Students learned about the functions and structures of the Washington State Government, with a focus on how to create change in the state legislature. We did this through lectures and leading a legislative action team, and a legislative session simulation.

As a development coordinator, I report directly to the Development Director. I oversee our recurring donor program, including Blue Washington, program fundraising events, and help develop strategies for further fundraising.

As the policy director, I help lead the Student Legislative Advocacy Committee (SLAC) in Legislative Agenda setting. With that, I also assist the Director of Legislative Affairs in drafting strategy in order to pass SLAC's legislative agenda. I also assist in organizing events to incentivize students to be civically active and led legislative training workshops.

As the legislative liaison, I represented the Associated Students of Central Washington University during the 2020 legislative session at the state capitol. I advocated for student issues, organized and led multiple lobby days, and assisted in the passage of multiple bills regarding voting accessibility for college students, undocumented student programs, and more funding for Central Washington University's needs.

As a fellow for the Party Affairs Director for the Washington State Democrats, I assisted in the planning of Washington State's participation in the 2020 Democratic National Convention, organized the 2019 Central Committee Meeting, helped translate party documents and posts for more accessibility, recommended changes to the party platform, phone banked, and met with local party leaders from all over the state to help with the organizing of the 2020 primary election caucuses.
