Touring the Production band club circuit in the '80s allowed me to tour the major clubs in the southeast and up the east coast. The amount of Sound & Lights that we carried by truck and bus allowed my band to provide production for former nationals & open for bands including many hero's and up 'n comers: Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Danger Danger & Vicious Rumours, Molly Hatchet (multiple times), Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, Louisiana's Le Roux (featuring lead singer Fergie Frederiksen), The Producers, Jim Dandy / Black Oak Arkansas, Johnny Van Zandt, The Knack, and our production went on to a wide variety of artists including Taylor Dane, A Flock of Seagulls..... In the '90s came the Independent Label revolution and Delinquent Records heavily moved into Europe, Italy, and Australia. Catching several lucky breaks, Delinquent moved into U.S. retail in 1999. The bankruptcy on the part of the US Distributor for the label impeded progress until minimal merchandise was returned in 2005. By this time the Indie Market has drastically changed. Delinquent Records USA no longer signs new artists but continues to carry a back-catalog of various titles in both digital and physical formats. Little Rebel recognizes that MTV is of no practical use to any rocker except for the espisodes of Beavis and Butthead. The late ’90s is sort of a post-grunge apocalyptic waste land of deary, “who really gives a sh*t” approach to radio programming . . . and that train of thought just runs back downhill to the listeners.Raeph, Nancy* and the band are choosing to make a comeback at a time when there is “no scene” and no locals clubs nationwide that the kids hang to “be seen”. I managed the band from the road, with the book agency Showtime from Raleigh, NC, staying on the road 42 to 48 weeks a year. Once Bratz first single "Lonely Hearts" came out, my afternoon's kept me on the hotel phone contacting publicists, any label that would accept a package ultimately moving me to Los Angeles in 1988.
