Designing & Managing AEDI Workforce Development Programs and PipelinesAt the City of Redmond, I designed enrichment programs, college and career support, STEM programs, and special events for middle and high school students. I co-created the Learning Immersive Technology program, during my time at Reel Grrls, which is a pipeline using the arts to teach young people of color STEM fields. Cultural relevancy is the key to meaningful engagement and culture shifting. I embedded values of compassion and intersectional feminism to design greater diversity in a male dominated sport through providing a career field and trainings for young people passionate about skateboarding to lead and serve as global leaders and influencers in how skateboarding can transform lives and model inclusivity. Skate Like a Girl’s work is recognized as part of the MOHAI’s Bezos Center of Innovation exhibit, and the Smithsonian’s Innovation Lab. Social Impact Advocacy, Thought Leadership and Social Innovation Committed to creating thought leadership through public dialogue in presenting new and challenging information and narratives that shift towards equitable workforce practices. Co-authored a chapter with Dr. Laura Rattner, “Is a Feminist Lens Enough: The challenges of “going mobile” in an intersectional world.?” Routledge Press: Feminist Interventions in Participatory Media: Pedagogy, Publics, Practice.
