Supported NCTL’s advocacy agenda at both the federal and state levels to promote the inclusion of expanded learning time in legislation and administrative policy. Researched and analyzed the impact of federal legislation, regulations, and guidance on expanded learning time programs. Drafted position statements, proposed guidance, letters, committee report language, and legislative language related to expanded learning time, school improvement programs, teacher professional development, and flexibility and autonomy. Actively lobbied on these positions before Congress. Developed and maintained relationships with civil rights, policy, and reform organizations to form alliances that support NCTL’s goals and objectives.
