My graphic design career began as a teenager in my family's printing business, where the main objective was to keep me away from boys. A lot of my day involved proofreading, rubber cement, and more proofreading. My dad's margin relied on not making mistakes, so my best friend was a dictionary. Fortunately, from his days as a journalist, my dad lent me the chops to "wordsmith" with precision. (Please note this profile is relatively new, having to replace a duplicate that held most of my recommendations.)While I enjoy mastering all forms of high technology, nothing has served me more than knowing the origin of good design, and why minute details matter. I have had the privilege of training with some great design masters and font artists, Iove the art of typography, and use it for all it's worth.Something unique about me is my "photographic memory" for images and the spoken word. It comes into play when managing assets and retrieving relevant data across a broad spectrum. I am able to reach wherever is necessary to find elements that can be woven together to tell a story with impact, credibility, and heart.In my spare time, I use my writing and graphic skills to help my community. I love singing the praises of unsung heroes; my published works carry the theme of giving credit where credit is due. I have also authored a children's book. In retrospect, staying away from boys was a pretty good punishment! My dad would have loved my "Mr. Wright" and there would be no end to the jokes around my being "Mrs. Wright," "Mrs. Write" or "Mrs. Always Right." (I usually wake up on the right side of the bed too!)
