Effectively manage the movement of all retail merchandise from the Distribution Center to over 400 clubs nationwide. Organize and communicate club level analysis that directly impacts replenishment strategies, driving location based revenue opportunities. Collaborate successfully across all levels of the organization both internally and externally with field partners. Directly manage two distribution analysts.

Support merchant partners by providing pre-season, in-season and post-season analysis. Analysis used to make merchandise assortment decisions, purchase quantities, location assortments and allocation strategies. Operate as a liaison between the Chicago based inventory management team and the San Francisco based merchant team. Participate in preseason financial planning and monthly Open to Buy meetings. Drive sales through location based plans during key times and in key classifications of business. Provide reporting tools using key retail performance metrics utilized across all levels of the organization.

Manage an area of $35 million in annual sales across 405 locations and outside market sales. Responsible for inventory planning, purchase order approval and analysis. Participate in the Open to Buy by providing receipt flow and analyzing the financial components with category management team and VP of retail. Mitigate risk by proactively managing aged and obsolete inventory. Provide analytics on category sales and inventory performance in order to make recommendations on business and assortment changes.

Manage an area of 115M in annual sales across 190 stores in the Western United States. Promoted several times to reach this level of volume responsibility. Build sales, inventory, and profitability plans by location that roll to total business plan. Perform in depth analysis of data, prepare forecasts and create action plans to maximize sales. Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for high volume sales periods. Recap and analyze results. Participated in a select multifunctional Macy’s West committee responsible for choosing new business opportunities representing a minimum of 2M in additional annual sales. Selected as the Macys West representative to participate in User Acceptance Training in Atlanta for upgrades to the new Retek financial planning system.Managed and trained eight assistant and associate planners in my 12 year career as a planner.

Operated as a consultant to merchandise planners in managing their replenishment business. Maximized business results using the IBM Inforem replenishment system. Worked in conjunction with merchandise planners in validating assortments, negotiating return to vendors and markdowns in order to maintain an uninterrupted flow of receipts.

Assisted in managing a $10M business. Responsibilities included managing price changes, purchase orders, open-to-buy, gross margin analysis, inventory reconciliation, purchase order tracking, vendor negotiations, advertising layouts and turn-ins.
