About Nancy Ifft
I am an experienced and passionate bookkeeper and accounts payable/receivable specialist proficient with many software packages, including QuickBooks Desktop and Online; ADP; Paychex; Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook; Google Suite, including Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Gmail. I learn new software and roles quickly, and I work efficiently and accurately while meeting deadlines with my superpower organizational and time management skills.I have accounting and finance experience in several different industries, including a school, commercial property management and a CPA firm. In all positions, I displayed exceptional customer service skills and worked tirelessly to meet my customers' needs and solve problems. At my last role at a private one-to-one instruction school, I was essential in maintaining the financial health of the school during turbulent times. I researched and compiled the data needed to successfully obtain a PPP loan during Covid. Additionally, I put in place internal controls and safeguards to protect the school's financials, while transitioning payroll to electronic ADP timesheets to track time, PTO, and tasks. I also created various financial statements to assess and monitor the well-being of the school, including a budget and cash flow, in order to make sound business decisions. This smart financial forecasting eventually allowed us to improve the school's pay and benefits package to attract and retain staff, due to a better understanding of priorities and how money was being spent. Additionally, I played an important role in stabilizing the school during a time of high turnover and a change in leadership.
