As founder of Ambiendura Unipessoal Lda.; an environmental consultancy, I provide hands-on advice concerning the implementation, monitoring and enforcement of environmental laws and multilateral environmental agreements; and concerning inter-agency and cross-border cooperation.For over 24 years I am working in the area of environmental compliance, inspection and enforcement strategies, building capacity of practioners, regulators and law enforcement officers and facilitating inter-agency and cross-border operational coopertaion. It is my goal is to actually implement provisions that are designed to protect and preserve the environment by developing practical implementation and inspection tools and involving the front-line officers, managers, policymakers, politicians and other stakeholders throughout the regulatory process in order to make environmental policies work.
