Nancy Kimberley Phillips (she/her) is a Queer-Settler from Treaty 7 (Calgary, AB), the homelands of the Siksikaitsitapi (Siksiká, Káínaa, Aapátohsipikáni & Aamsskáápipikáni), Îyârhe Nakoda (Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney), Tsuut’ina and the Métis Nation, Region 3. She has recently completed her Master of Arts degree in Museum Anthropology at the University of British Columbia, located on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and sel̓íl̓witulh Lands. Nancy is an environmental, museum and history educator; scholar; researcher; writer and artist. Her work is often located at the fluid intersections between connecting people-to-place in a multitude of ways, land-based learning, history, Indigenous knowledge(s), equity and inclusion, public education, activism, and art. She is passionate about creating a different and more radical future for generations-yet-to-come and (re)imagining the kinds of legacies we are leaving behind.
