About Nancy Kobel, Ma, Pcc

I’m often asked: how did you become a coach? As a NASA Engineer, I loved working with collaborative teams, but was frustrated with the lack of development. Not technically, we were rock stars. It was the other skills that led to inefficiencies of time and resources. With an MA, (and two little ones at home), I switched to developing engineering managers. I understood them, spoke their language and loved it! After a couple of life changing experiences including cancer, waking up and becoming more conscious, my career in Leadership Development, OD and Coaching expanded. This led me to iPEC, The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. Taking my coaching and transformational skills to the next level. Now I facilitate workshops, peer advisory groups, leadership groups, team offsites and coach leaders, including moms in leadership roles, embracing the strengths they bring while integrating work and home in a way that works for them, their organizations and their families. The masculine and feminine is in each of us and when not integrated effectively it can have a huge impact on our ability to effectively lead ourselves, our teams and our organizations impacting our engagement, productivity, overall wellbeing and happiness. It can have an impact on our bottom line. When clients share and articulate their transformations both at work and home, breaking down silos, building deeper connections with others and making positive changes, I know I'm doing work I love and making a positive difference.
