Upland Corporation is the authorized Manufacturer's Representative for Firestone Building Products for New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. As the Director of Architectural Resources, I connected designers with the solutions they need to make their projects successful. I coordinated and helped develop and deliver professional technical and continuing education to architects and contractors. I also worked to expand our market reach through my network of professional contacts in the industry.

As the territory representative for the state of New Mexico, west Texas, and southern Colorado, I worked with architects, developers, subcontractors and general contractors to broaden the market for Arcadia, a national manufacturer of aluminum storefront, curtain wall, door and window systems, and expand the knowledge within the industry of aluminum fenestration systems. I brought the experience of an architect to this position, understanding how my product impacts the building in its entirety.I worked to grow Arcadia's market by making sales calls, conducting market research and acting on the results of that research, and providing design assistance to architects to aid in integrating Arcadia products into their contract documents. I also worked trade shows and conferences, and conducted continuing education presentations for architects. Additionally, I implemented an educational presentation program for general contractors and a regional newsletter for the territory.

As an architect at Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, I was responsible for projectmanagement, construction documents, detailing, and construction administrationon a myriad of projects. I have used Revit extensively for over three years now,coordinating the use of BIM with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structuralconsultants, most notably in the 210,000 square foot facility for Hewlett Packard inRio Rancho, NM. My other responsibilities have included developing program andschematic design, coordinating bids, design budget management, specificationwriting and review, developing documents for the entitlements process, consultantcoordination and client contact.I also hold a Bachelors in Architecture with a minor in English, and have utilizedmy research, editing, and writing skills in the marketing efforts for Dekker/Perich/Sabatini. This includes researching target markets for specific practice area types,and editing and writing submissions for the company web site, design competitions,and marketing literature. Additionally, I have written case studies - for universityresearch as well as for LEED submissions.

As a member of the design staff at Strell, I worked in the design development and construction documents of many custom residential and small retail projects. My duties included document production, detailing, construction administration, submittal review and client contact.
