“STEM is everywhere and is for everyone. I aspire to show others how they can use their training in STEM to make a difference in the world. For me, it is what the students will do with robotics in the future.” Nancy McIntyre is a former teacher, who now served as the Community Innovations Manager for the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation. As a credentialed educator, Nancy has helped to develop the foundation’s first online curriculum, and the engineering notebooks, which are a big part of the competitions at local, state and national levels. She has worked with teachers around the world to empower them to successfully incorporate robotics teams on their school campuses. Nancy’s forward thinking has also led to the development of a number of foundation initiatives that include the Online Challenges, the STEM Hall of Fame, Girl Powered, the Scholarship program, the International Robotics Honor Society, Alumni Association, and a new Internship program. Nancy speaks locally and nationally providing inspiring hands-on workshops in competitive robotics at conferences including CA State STEAM Conference, CA Charter Schools Conference, CSTA, the National CUE Conference, ITEEA, ASCD, NSTA, NCEA, to name a few. Nancy resides in California.
