This is a two day event in which high school juniors come learn about the opportunities Cal Poly has to offer to them. I've worked for this event three times now. Once in February 2016, January 2017, and November 2017. The first time I was a student assistant in which I assisted the coordinators in running the event for 100+ students and completed assignments, organized material and contacted people when needed. I was also made available to fill in any student leader that had a conflict with their schedule. Both times after, I was was a student leader responsible for 6-12 high school juniors and was assigned a partner who was responsible for other 6-12 students. Together we helped our students around the campus, made sure they were at their designated place at the right time, and made sure the students had a fun experience while visiting Cal Poly.
