As a Product Development and Quality Assurance Intern at SalDoce, I was able to work on various tasks that allowed me to assist SalDoce in exploring new and innovative methods of improving their product quality. I conducted many kitchen trials to test the success of using microwaves and rice cookers to bake SalDoce's gluten-free muffins, cupcakes and cakes. Moreover, I was successful in reformulating their gluten free pizza base to a desired texture and flavour. Through my internship at SalDoce I was able to gain a better understanding of food product development and touched on different aspects of quality assurance.
