Provides leadership and direction for the CompTIA Tech Career Academy (CTCA) Bursar and Financial Aid Offices with regard to systems, policies, procedures, operations involved with the awarding and delivery of internal and external financial aid and scholarship awards/programs, institutional and sponsor compliance and financial student invoicing. Leads strategic planning, departmental budgeting, and resource management allocations. Manages/coordinates gift, grant, contract and federal award accounting with the CompTIA Finance team.

Fostered and directed the financial management and operations of over $42 million in annual expenditures to ensure compliance with sponsor rules and regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures. Accomplishments:- Led the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics Navision AwardVision grants module to enhance tracking capabilities in line with funder and institutional requirements- Developed AwardVision reports to facilitate finance functions and support Philanthropy staff and departmental administrators in monitoring temp restricted funds while validating financial compliance.

Spearheaded the post-award financial accounting and compliance of over $12 million in annual expenditures, ensuring fulfillment of federal and non-federal agency rules and regulations and institutional compliance were followed. Institutional liaison, managing all aspects of the annual federal OMB A-133 Single Audit and state audits. Established organizational policies and procedures for grant and philanthropy areas.Accomplishments:- Established the Research and Philanthropy Accounting Office at RIC, ensuring that financial accounting and compliance were achieved within sponsor rules and regulations, university policies and procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).- Developed Report Manager / Project Tracking Reports with information technologies to assist principal investigators and respective administrators in managing and monitoring grant and contract expenditures to effectively complete projects within the timeline and monetary constraints set forth by the sponsor.

Supervised departmental activities for budgeting, staff hiring and supervision of 2.5 administrative coordinators, annual staff reviews, discipline and termination activities, identifying grant funding opportunities. Liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including federal and non-federal granting agencies.Accomplishments:- Shaped the fiscal administration of pre and post-award grant and contract activities, including proposal preparation, annual progress reports, invoicing and financial status reports.- Designed grant database within established fiscal guidelines; established departmental policies and procedures, increasing institutional compliance.
