Through role-play and improvisation, clients learn how to listen and be present, gain a mutual understanding of a problem and create a road map for moving forward in challenging conversations.Facilitator of program, “Shared Vision”. Goal was for each member of a team to feel a personal connection to a shared vision. Led participants as they produced a scenes from a play. Instructed and mentored the clients who were theatre directors for the day.

Directed off-Broadway, in regional theaters and university productions. Directed over a dozen of world premieres, working one on one with prominent playwrights to help them realize their vision. Notable productions include Slow Dance with a Hot Pickup, Since Africa, Honor and the River, Death of a Salesman, The Glass Menagerie, and A Moon for the Misbegotten.

• Managed corps of 125 volunteers which included recruiting volunteers, conducting pre-screening interviews, tracking applications, Scheduling volunteers for all deployments. • Organized volunteers to respond to over 25 disasters of varying lengths; some lasing weeks or months, including Superstorm Sandy, The East Harlem building collapse, the Amtrak train derailment, the East Village Gas Explosion and dozens of building fires. Coordinated after-care for volunteers following each deployment.• Managed Missing Person’s Day event at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for three consecutive years. Collaborated with the OCME to assess needs, recruited volunteer staff, created staffing schedule for the event.• Coordinated volunteer staffing for the week-long opening of the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Worked with museum director to determine staffing needs, coordinated logistics for staff training, assembled schedule of volunteer staff.• Created and facilitated special events, engaged speakers, coordinated logistics.• Programmed volunteer trainings and refresher courses. Updated curriculum, hired instructors, facilitated all logistics.• Collaborated with partner groups including the NYC Mayor’s office, New York City Emergency Management, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, American Red Cross.

Directed in Department of Dramatic Writing’s weekly playwriting lab. Served as dramaturg, working one on one with for M.FA. candidates in playwriting. Directed productions of students ‘work using professional actors.

Taught courses in acting and directing, and directed two mainstage productions.
