From January 2001 to August 2010 I was employed at Armstrong Relocation, a United Van Lines agent located in Charlotte, North Carolina.My position required that I set up Corporate Relocations for large companies. I handled hundreds of family relocations per year for companies such as Carolinas HealthCare, BB&T, Bovis Lend Lease, Ferguson, Stock Building Supply,Cartus and Primacy. This required excellent computer skills and great attention to detail and the skill of being the best possible Customer Service professional. Possessing communication skills and meeting deadlines are essential. Being alert to potential problems associated with moving and resolving any issues that come up take patience and workable solutions. I received the prestigious award from United Van Lines for excellent customer service. The "Heart of Quality" award has been awarded to me yearly since it's inception in 2004 through the current year. For the last 6 years I also assisted in training of new employees. I was assigned to assist 5 Salespersons in the performance of their duties. I also had the responsibility for the Charlotte office IT needs. This position required that I set up and maintain all the 15 computer stations in the office including resolving help desk issues and purchasing and set up and repair of new equipment. Both of these jobs proved to be both challenging and rewarding. I found use for old skills as well as the joy and reward of learning new skills. I really enjoy Customer Service and anything to do with computer maintenance.
