In this internal contractor role with Integra (rebranded from Integra Telecom and then to Electric Lightwave/Allstream and subsequently acquired in early 2017 by Zayo), I was dedicated to devising on-strategy sales communications and other means of messaging the sales leadership team and/or the entire sales organization regarding policy, incentives/contests, Salesforce.com (SFDC) updates, opportunities, new-hire orientation and training/event planning, and recommended practices to support the team in achieving Integra's short- and long-term sales objectives.

Responsibilities included media relations/PR, marketing, and communications projects including press/news releases, media tracking, event planning, clipping services, newsletters (both employee and nonprofit "ask" outreach publications), copywriting, bid/RFP responses for government contracts, and editing.

I was responsible for $50M+ of Simplot's foodservice fruit and vegetable products being sold into both commercial and non-commercial foodservice sectors, supervising a staff of two. Responsibilities also entailed creation of business plan for the company's entry into the frozen guacamole business in Mexico as well as a joint venture with Carnation Canada in addition to the budgeting, coordination, marketing, and advertising coordination for all of my brands and individual SKUs in a rapidly changing industry often impacted by supply issues courtesy of Mother Nature.

Evaluated, developed, and/or documented existing or proposed operating policies and procedures and forms for virtually all operating areas of the corporation managing large volume of projects concurrently. Projects entailed extensive interface and coordination with human resources, marketing, sales, R&D, and accounting as well as many other departments. Made policy recommendations for inclusion in corporate policy and/or sales manuals. Responsibilities entailed interface with all staff levels.

Recruited, interviewed, and recommended candidates for hourly and salaried exempt and nonexempt and entry-level exempt (supervisory/management) positions. Counseled coworkers regarding training, career development, and on-the-job situations/difficulties and conducted onboarding/orientation and benefits reviews. Also researched, developed, and wrote human resources-related policies and procedures.
