As the Director of Information Technology for Synergy Healthcare Associates, I work with multiple practices that provide innovative patient care through advanced technology. I firmly believe in utilizing a team approach to deliver outstanding technology solutions involving physicians and staff to maximize the impact of industry changes. I have implemented, supported, and trained in electronic healthcare records and practice management systems like Allscripts, NextGen, eClinical Works, GE Centricity, and Modernizing Medicine. We have successfully attested our providers for Meaningful Use, MIPS, Bridges to Excellence, and several commercial payer incentive programs. I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Marquette University and a master’s in computer information systems with a sub-concentration in Health Informatics from Boston University. I have over 35 years of experience in the information technology field, with the last 18 years specializing in healthcare. I currently serve as the HIPAA Security Officer and have experience with OCR investigations. A significant initiative in the last few years has been implementing a Business Intelligence and Analytics program using Power BI to increase the efficiency of the managers and their practices.
