As Lab Head am responsible for the functioning of the lab including reporting of cases in both Histopathology and Cytology. Immunohistochemistry forms a routine in reporting of cases. The department receives a fair mix of both benign and neoplastic cases.

Medanta is a 700 bedded tertiary level hospital where in I am responsible for handling Liver transplant, GI histopathology samples in addition to routine Histopathology and Cytopathology work. I have also standardized reporting of small biopsies in 3 hours especially in donor biopsies and in rejection biopsies.I was reporting 25 explants, 10 – 15 donor biopsies for evaluation and 15 rejection biopsies every month.Routine frozen sections and immunohistochemistry are also being done. I have also trained Pathologists from other upcoming liver transplant centres of the country.
