I am a Creative Director-Producer and Graphic Designer with 22+ years of experience. My areas of interest are social and behaviour change messaging for measurable impact, awareness, capacity building, and participation in areas as varied and topical as—children-health-nutrition-education, youth and adolescents, gender empowerment and capacity building, gender-based violence, mental health, financial inclusion, water and sanitation, health and nutrition, inclusive safe spaces, sustainable planet, and animal welfare. I am a hands-on person, like to go in-depth, understand and then execute work that connects with the target audience. I look at design as an #everydaydesign, #human-centric empowered tool for social good. I am studying, understanding and applying a Behaviour Science approach to my work. I choose to stay close to my roots and use a local lens for issues closer home.I co-founded the communication design studio Yellow Brickroad Media (YBR) with my husband Goutam Sengupta (1968-2019, Founder), in 2002. Yellow Brickroad Media (YBR) is a design studio where I work along with my team mates, consultants and associates, who are very passionate about their work. Yellow Brickroad Media (YBR) has a legacy of print and multimedia work for brand and business communication, advocacy, and awareness campaigns. Over the years, our work has consciously veered towards the social development sector. We have noted how informed and uninformed choices define the course of our lives. How seemingly normal and unimportant, habitual, everyday actions and decisions impact us significantly, shaping our lives for the better or worse. And we focus our creative abilities on these small, yet important, core social issues. Issues that are the result of age-old behaviour and social norms, impacting people like you and me—the common and unnamed faces.My work so far has ranged with business stakeholders and decision-makers, development organisations, readers of leading newspapers and books published by a well-known publishing house, consumer insight specialists and brand strategists, consumers, women, youth and children. I enjoy working with teams consisting of people from diverse backgrounds. I work with English, Hindi and Bengali languages.
