I am a Senior Planner in the Development Planning Division of Infrastructure Ontario. Infrastructure Ontario is a crown corporation with a mandate to modernize and maximize the value of public infrastructure and provincial real estate. My responsibilities include leveraging the municipal planning approvals process to enhance the value of provincial landholdings and providing strategic land use and development advice to internal client groups. I prepare optimal use studies based on an analysis of planning policy and regulatory frameworks, environmental and site servicing constraints, and preparation of realistic and defensible development concepts. My secondary responsibilities include the procurement of external expertise to undertake development feasibility assessments, site selection, and municipal planning approvals assignments, as well as the management of vendor deliverables and budgets.

Worked to enhance the value of provincial landholdings and reduce liabilities to help facilitate property dispositions. I provided strategic land use and development advice to internal client groups and advanced planning applications through the development approvals process.

My responsibilities included the coordination of consultant teams in the preparation of applications for official plan amendment, zoning by-law amendment and site plan approvals. I regularly engaged with municipal and authority staff, responded to development application comments, and advanced projects through the municipal approvals process. I was also responsible for the preparation of comprehensive planning analysis and planning justifications in support of development applications. Utilizing my design skill set, I provided design expertise in the preparation of conceptual development plans, visioning, illustrations and technical plans for a range of mixed-use, residential and commercial, projects.

My primary responsibilities were to assist in the preparation of an Area Structure Plan (ASP) and provide extensive design, graphics, urban form analysis, and mapping support. I helped to plan and facilitate a community consultation workshops as part of the ASP process which involved fielding questions from residents and affected stakeholders while running workshop activities, as well as overseeing the analysis and presentation of community consultation results.

I provided urban form analysis, diagramming, and mapping support for publications and research. In addition conducted literature reviews on topics of built form, urban spatial structure, and public realm in support of research investigating the relationship between built forms and social ties.

My key responsibilities included assisting in the design of conceptual development plans, site plans, and draft plans of subdivision. I also prepared exhibits for OMB hearings and conducted planning research and interpreted planning policies.
