In the beautiful wilderness of northern Quebec, I learned so much from the Naskapi of Kawawachikamach as their community dietitian. Using culture as foundation, I successfully developed and delivered 30+ food skills/nutrition workshops to children, teens, and adults. I mentored two dietetic interns and provided individual nutrition counselling to people of all ages and health states.
