I was a CTA Certified Coach, licensed to use RCI programs and materials. I helped singles who were tired of recreational dating and wanting to settle down prepare to find the right life partner & enjoy long term, fulfilling relationships. I owned Make It So, coaching services.

I started as a volunteer tutor to adults illiterate in literacy and numeracy, then became a trainer, then a trainer of trainers. I also joined the Board of Directors, and worked as Manager of Volunteer Resources. I took the organization from members' homes to a small and later, a larger location in downtown Oshawa. Later, as Executive Director, I created Policies & Procedures and Operations Manuals, as well as a Volunteer Management System which was funded by the National Literacy Secretariat and the Ontario Ministry of Education. In 1989, I was awarded the Canadian Literacy Award.
