Maintain all company owned or leased vehicle files, ensuring all vehicles are properly titled, tagged, registered with appropriate governmental agencies and listed with insurance. Extensive knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal policies, laws and regulations. Coordinate the proper maintenance and repairs of all vehicles in order to minimize maintenance and vehicle depreciation costs while ensuring that all company vehicles are safe to operate. Interface with the company’s Safety Manager to insure that all vehicle use is done safely and in compliance with all safety regulations. Generates and/or reviews various reports on vehicle usage and costs in order to identify cost-savings opportunities and other information that should be brought to the attention of management.Acquires and disposes of vehicles within the guidelines and systems provided by the company, identifying and pursing opportunities to maximize profitability and vehicle effectiveness.Prepares and directs in-service training programs for newly employed personnel.Plans and administers a preventive maintenance and vehicular replacement program for university lease vehicles.Receives and processes vehicle accident and damage reports.Serves as a liaison between the respective local office and the corporate staff in the areas of Human Resources, Accounting, Health/Safety and General Administration.Maintains license plate inventory.
