Increased Transparency, Accountability and Operational Effectiveness • Implemented quarterly management reviews for each programmatic and operational area to improve outcomes and resource allocation, annually redirecting 5-10% of the budget to higher priority uses. • Deployed lean principles across the agency to improve results such as reducing hiring time by 60% and improving closing timeframes for recapitalization projects by over 50%. • Strengthened HUD’s information technology infrastructure and outcomes, implementing shared services for financial systems to improve timely, accurate financial data; modernizing infrastructure by moving it to the cloud and securing primary and back-up data centers while addressing HUD’s most significant cyber vulnerabilities. • Improved employee engagement, increasing the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey participation from 51% to 77% over two years and scores on key indicators by 8-12 percentage points. Received Partnership for Public Service's Most Improved Mid-Sized Agency award.
