• Manage technical color comments for J.Crew and Crewcuts brands; serve as main point of contact regarding color.• Following J.Crew Group Color SOP: Review, post comments for, and maintain records of lab dip and bulk lot history in Color Lab.• Support Fabric/Color Production Manager in initial approval process for novelty patterns. • Based on brand seasonal calendars, work towards 100% initial color approval by Standard PO due dates.Responsibilities:• Review, post comments for, and maintain records of lab dips for knit, woven, swim, sweater submits and bulk lot history in the Color Lab.• Utilize J.Crew Imports (JCI), PLM and Natific systems to communicate comments to mills.• Provide requested lab dip/bulk history to Design/Merchants/Production upon request (adhering to Color Lab Request procedure).• Coordinate and facilitate Design review of novelty patterns, strike-offs, handlooms, and knit downs ; utilize PLM system to communicate comments to mills.• Communicate with mills to understand timing or technical limitations for initial color submits (lab dips and novelty patterns) and bulk.• If color standards cannot be achieved, coordinate with Design/Merchants/Production for further review. • Track initial approvals and review seasonal initial color comment status with Fabric/Color Production Manager as-needed.• Use a spectrophotometer to review color to the standard.• Calibrate the spectrophotometer.• Coordinate Lightbox calibration/inspection as-needed.
