Nanno Jiskoot was born in Malawi, Africa. He started his filmmaking career after his master degree in psychology by making short films and documentaries around the world. Nanno kickstarted his work as a commercial director collaborating with Wieden + Kennedy on his spot We are who we become for which he won the Young Director Award in Cannes in 2015 and got nominated at the ADCN for best film direction that same year. The following years Nanno worked for brands like Samsung, Dance4Life, Oikocredit, and the Dutch Lottery. Recently Nanno worked on a huge studio shoot in Georgia for Natakhtari Beer. He made a tv-commercial for the Dutch Army which he shot in Serbia and Island. The campaign is claimed to be the most successful campaign for the Ministry of Defense to date. His latest spot for MoveS, that fights Multiple Sclerosis, is currently playing cinemas around the country. The spot is picked up by several talk shows on national television because of its impact.
