Providing leadership coverage for UK and APAC balance sheet for Data Operations for client Accounts & Settlement Instructions, in Market space.

Responsibilities:  Manage a team of 16 people with a combination of associates, assistant managers and SME Managers for back end operation for account static and standard settlement instructions for multiple products like Equity, Equity derivatives, Fixed Income, Derivatives and FX/Money markets.  Responsible for the daily operation to ensure the targets are achieved and deliverables are handled effectively with minimal PLA breaches  Responsible for managing operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and controls, loss identification and reporting  Identifies, informs, and recommends solutions to management on anticipated problem areas and trends to improve work style and eliminate errors Plan and promote career progression of the staff Drive staff development Lead Change the Bank initiative (CTB) for the team/department to automate the account onboarding process. This to bring the straight-thru-processing (STP) model which improves the turnaround time (TAT), improved data quality and better client experience.

• Managing a team of 6 to ensure all Entity Gridding request are handled effectively with minimal PLA breaches• Providing effective capacity planning/resource management to ensure all remediation projects are managed/delivered according to the agreed timeline.• Responsible to liaise with business stakeholders in HK and counterparts in Bangalore to ensure On-boarding process runs smoothly with minimal breaks• Responsible for managing headcount & ensuring attrition rates are kept at a minimum• Assisting line management to carry out effective Operational Risk assessments by monitoring and implementing risk mitigating plans by escalating potential risks • Driving the team to develop positive relationships with peers, members within IT, business partners and every single stakeholders• Responsible to work closely with training team to constantly upgrade knowledge on CDS data and be up to date with process related changes / updates.• Responsible to perform Legal entity verification prior to Client Onboarding based on verification checklist to ensure all details are accurate.• Maintain high level of attention to details to avoid any misinterpretation of data or consume any inaccurate information in to ERDS system• Well verse on data providers such as AVOX, Bankers Almanac, Mint Global, Lexis Screen, CICI Portal and other multiple country specific registries, regulators and stock exchanges. • Alert to any suspicious information or entity details which is being on boarded in conjunction with Sanctions and AML.• Developed strong knowledge of ERDS, ISD (globally), Client Hierarchies, Legal Entities & various linkages and its impact on downstream systems.• Possess strong knowledge across functions – KYC, Credit, CLG, Documentation, etc.

• Migrated Process Private Clients from Bangalore, India• Responsible to set up multiple type of Accounts, SSI's and Commission's for trading in Equity, Fixed Income, Prime Finance, Derivatives and Private Clients.• Conducted UAT for UK applications (GEMS, ETP, TREATS, FIDESSA, CITRIX, and GCOS & SOPHIS) and ISD Global.• Point of referral for Private Client’s, Securities Sub Account & SSI Team in KL.• Liaising with business partners and requestors.• Support Inputters with queries and provide feedback. • Cross Trained to support Equities, Fixed Income and Maintenance work• Trainer for new hires (account creation, amendment and closure).
