I am a thoughtful, curious and kind person who cares about environmental and ocean science, research and data, nature connectedness and creative storytelling. I am studying part-time for a BSc Open degree with The Open University (study break, 2024/25), focusing on Environmental Science. For part of my degree, I created a presentation on the ecosystem services of seagrass meadows and wrote a project report on the impacts of climate change on common dolphin distribution. In September 2024, I started as a CRM Administrator for MEGIN, providing administrative support to the Global Sales and Marketing team and Director of Clinical Pathways. For the past 3 years, I have worked for an NHS community eating disorders team, supporting reflective practice, providing mentorship for clinical psychology trainees and helping to inform, develop and facilitate training and service development projects.This spring, I volunteered with the Woodland Trust as an Online Canopy Cover Recorder, where I helped to carry out urban tree cover assessments to support the Tree Equity Score UK. I am currently volunteering for the Somerset Environmental Records Centre as a Data Processing Volunteer. I have also volunteered for both Beat and Shout. These roles required me to build trusting and supportive relationships with a wide variety of people to best support them.Due to personal circumstances, I completed my A Levels as an independent candidate. This allowed me to develop a strong foundation of organisational, time management and independent learning skills which I have carried with me and developed throughout further work and study experiences. Alongside my work, I have created a collection of commissioned artworks, ‘embodiment’, and contributed a chapter to a book on the lived experiences of eating disorder recovery (due to be published in 2025).From the outside, I have taken a fairly meandering career path so far, but a core thread connecting all of these experiences is finding ways to show that I care, to learn and grow, and contribute towards meaningful work.
