Naomi Boak is a storyteller. A Primetime Emmy Award-winning executive producer and social media strategist. Heard of "Fat Bear Week?" She produced and co-wrote this annual social media sensation for three years. After making TV and films for many years, Naomi followed her passion for brown bears to become the media ranger at Katmai National Park in Alaska where she walks to work with 1000 lb brown bears. In her work she educates millions worldwide in her on camera weekly live Explore.org broadcasts. Naomi makes social media campaigns, documentaries, series, outreach plans and consults to corporations and nonprofits, developing and executing communications strategies that translate brands and their stories into a variety of media. She is a strategic thinker who is known for creative solutions. Throughout her career, Naomi Boak has managed internal and external teams to create and execute top quality productions in many media formats. She prides herself in setting up team members for success, by understanding individuals' strengths and weaknesses.At Twin Cities Public Television Naomi helped raise over 7 million dollars for PBS productions. She was executive producer of the Primetime Emmy Award-winning program The Forgetting: A Portrait of Alzheimer’s, the documentaries FAT and Through A Dog’s Eyes, and the PBS series Life (Part 2). She also created web sites, community outreach initiatives and social media campaigns featured on PBS.org. Prior to her PBS work, Naomi wrote and produced Emmy Award-winning primetime children’s specials for CBS and was executive producer for the daily comedy show Snap Judgment on Court TV. She led television production and public television sponsorship worldwide for the IBM Corporation, was executive producer of the Lifetime Medical Television Network and was senior producer/director of the Merrill Lynch Video Network.Naomi Boak received an A.B. in anthropology from Stanford University and did graduate work at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
