Skooled is a school initiative at West Side High School and Central High School in Newark, NJ, that aims to prepare high school students for college by focusing on mentor-ship and peer collaboration. This past summer, I was a mentor in the program Summer Skooled. Summer Skooled is an enrichment program offered at Central High School and it focusing on preparing students for the college application process so that they're prepared to apply when the school year starts.

The Newark Mentoring Movement is a nonprofit organization located in the heart of downtown Newark. This organization focuses on youth development and advocates the importance of mentoring by supporting and providing local nonprofits with the necessary resources to expand as well as connect with other nonprofits in the Newark area for the purpose of enhancing and transforming the well-being of the youth in Newark.

The New Jersey Future Educator's Association was established to unite educators who share a common goal and vision of revitalizing education to inspire individuals to consider a career in education to make a difference in the lives of students and youth. As the Northern Region Representative of the New Jersey Future Educator's Association during my senior year of high school, I was able to help students in high school who want to become educators, by encouraging, inspiring, and supporting their future endeavors.
