With deep roots in the community and a passion for making a positive impact, I am committed to being the strong local voice and advocate that Council needs.Having lived in Oxenford for almost four decades, I have developed a profound attachment to the community I still call home today. I am a proud product of the area, having attended Oxenford State School and Helensvale State High School, which has given me a strong understanding of the community's values and needs.My decision to run for Council stems from my belief that the community deserves a representative who will prioritise their interests, provide experienced leadership, and advocate for their concerns. I am particularly passionate about ensuring that the residents of Oxenford, Helensvale, and Hope Island have a strong presence and influence in Council decisions.I welcome the opportunity to connect with residents, business owners, and community groups in the lead-up to the upcoming election. The overwhelming support I have already received from the community fuels my excitement to collaborate, listen, and plan with them in the months ahead.I stand firmly for several key issues that resonate with the community. These include improving local roads and tackling traffic congestion, fighting financial waste to maintain a responsible financial environment, prioritising local projects to meet community needs, supporting grassroots community initiatives, and ensuring safer suburbs through proactive measures against youth crime and hooning.Furthermore, I am passionate about environmental sustainability and will actively work towards greener suburbs. I support initiatives such as the Green Bin program to reduce landfill and improve sustainable waste management, demonstrating my commitment to promoting community health and wellbeing through conscious waste management practices.My blend of personal and professional experiences uniquely positions me to address the needs and concerns of the community. As a successful managing director of a communications agency with over two decades of business acumen, I understand the importance of strategic planning, project management, and responsible financial management. My expertise in these areas, combined with my dedication to community engagement and effective communication, make me a skilled problem solver and an ideal candidate to represent Division 2.
