I was named after The Naomi Campbell, as a child I believed that that meant that one day I would become another important figure in the fashion industry. Unfortunately my love for clothes and online shopping is as far as my fashion career will ever go. Going back, to before I found out the reason for my name, when I was 3 years old up on stage at my kindergarten graduation I told the World what I wanted to be when I was older: 'I want to travel, be a traveller and see the world'. It was for this reason that when I graduated university and my mother asked me what my nexts steps were I told her that I was staying at the job that I have had since I was 18, why, because I wanted to go travelling.The job that I have gave me the perfect opportunity to work towards saving the money I needed to go travelling without the commitment of a career starting job to get in my way. As of this march, 2020, I completed that dream. Though I only got to travel for 2 months due to the unfortunate circumstance of Coronavirus, I got to visit countries that I had dreamed about visiting since a child, I got to do things that I had never even considered and adored, and I am will forever be grateful to my company for giving me the time to complete my dream.During my time on my travels I met some extraordinary people all leading their own paths that inspired me and taught me that travelling is a passion I don't have to give up for my career and knowing that gives me the confidence to finally start my career path.I discovered my true path for my career whilst studying Information Systems at Nottingham Trent; a lot of my modules were management based and project management with two whole modules focused purely on the latter. I became more and more drawn towards the project management role during university especially in group projects; delegating who would fit best for each part of our project. It was this experience that I was able to bring with me to my extra curricular role as a member of the business building change initiative that the Post Office introduced: 'Our Unit". Looking to set up projects to help create a thriving environment for staff.Before I reach my ultimate goal, there are baby steps I need to take. I aim to better myself, one day at a time.
