Marketing Officer
CurrentMy primary role is to develop and deliver multi-channel communications strategies to achieve business and communications objectives. I employ a range of appropriate marcomms tools, including advertising, radio, print, digital, PR and internal, within agreed budgets. I manage art direction, deploy resources and buy goods and services. Other responsibilities include• Managing and maintaining strong relationships with agencies, suppliers, and OCC directorates. • Providing expert communications advice to Councillors, Directors, council officers and partners. • Developing and implementing new approach to campaign planning.• Acting as brand guardian for OCC brand, ensuring the council’s brand guidelines are understood and consistently applied. • Contributing to annual communications planning.• Managing online campaign activity such as editing and writing web content, social media posts, blogs, internal communications, creating digital adverts and working with community and partner channels.• Creating engaging media stories and developing relationships with media and stakeholder channels. • Designing materials for and representing the council at events, exhibitions and external meetings.
