In doing so, I am able to do this through baking and decorating cakes to make beautiful masterpieces for others to enjoy. In college I made cakes, cookies and goodies for friends and family and families I Nannied for. I grew up baking with my mom and grandma and learned a lot over the years and am a self taught baker/cake decorator. Through college and many careers over the years I experimented and created lots of edible treats and masterpieces. A long time love of making something sweet for others as a hobby in which I called "ICED by Naomi", came to life and turned into a full time career for 5 years opening a retail bakery location called Cache Bake Shoppe. Originally located in Clive, Iowa (November 2011) for 4 years and then relocating to West Des Moines, Iowa in December 2015. I am very fortunate to have lived my dream job for 5 years and am fortunate to have had the opportunity to do so. The love and support from customers and friends made it be successful along with a lot of hard work and dedication. In November of 2016, I decided to close the retail location of Cache Bake Shoppe and focus on spending more time with my family and friends and explore my next career adventure in life. I continue to love to bake and make sweets as a hobby.
