With a unique blend of academic credentials, corporate experience, and grassroots activism, I, Naphat Krutthai (he/him/his), have dedicated myself to advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and health equity in Thailand and across the Asia-Pacific region. My passion for this work is grounded in my own lived experience as a transgender man. Born and raised in Bangkok, I have navigated complex personal and professional journeys while proudly claiming my authentic identity.Academically, I earned a Master of Business Administration from Ramkhamhaeng University, a Master of Arts in Population and Reproductive Health Sciences from Mahidol University - where my thesis explored "Factors Associated with Protective Sexual Behavior Among LGBTQIA+ in Thailand" - and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science from Chulalongkorn University.For over a decade, I built an impressive career in Thailand's manufacturing and maritime logistics sectors, honing my skills in total productive management, operations, conflict resolution, and cross-cultural business relations. My fluency in English proved invaluable.In parallel, I spent 7 years as an outspoken activist for LGBTQIA+ rights and health literacy in Thailand. Leveraging social media, books, and powerful photography, I raised awareness of the challenges facing the Thai LGBTQIA+ community in bold, visible ways.In recent years, I transitioned to the non-profit sphere as the SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics) Inclusion and Business Engagement Officer for a prominent Asia-Pacific regional LGBTQIA+ organization. There, I managed initiatives across 5 countries promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusion in corporate policies and addressing mental health issues impacting these communities. With my intersectional perspectives as a transgender man and diverse experience spanning the corporate and non-profit worlds, I am a vital voice championing equitable rights, dignified healthcare access, and societal acceptance for LGBTQIA+ people in Thailand and beyond.
