Led a team that was responsible for the planning, manufacturing, life cycle management, maintenance support and distribution of all of BlackBerry's production test fixtures as well as all outsourced test development. In the peak days of BlackBerry, I managed a budget that exceeded $50 Million dollars and included teams with responsibilities for global test capacity management, contract management, vendor management, manufacturing (both internal & external through third party vendors), shipping, supply chain, inventory management, outsourced test development project management and production readiness program management.

• Determined global test capacity requirements to ensure test capacity never impeded product demand• Planned and managed the execution and roll out of the plan through in-house test fixture builds, as well as through third party replication providers• Managed third party replication providers, constantly driving improvements in delivery, quality, and cost• Reviewed 2 year business growth and geographical forecasts, and aligned replication team, replication partners, and replication plans to meet customer requirements• Provided forecasting to equipment and component manufacturers to ensure that the supply chain of critical items was appropriately aligned• Drove equipment, fixture, and component re-use and supported ISO 14001 initiatives• Identified and analyzed any single points of failure in the replication process and mitigated risks

• Managed a 4 crew 30 person team of Test Engineering Technicians which operated on a 24/7 basis and supported performance, maintenance, and calibration of 200+ test stations across multiple product families• Accountable for hiring, training, motivating, and when necessary disciplining the team• Managed the cost centre, including forecasting and budgeting• Maintained test station maintenance database, as well as maintaining/editing test support product specific and process documentation• Oversaw debugging of poorly performing test stations• Partnered with Product Engineering, Test Development, and Test Integration on new product launches• Liaised between Test Support and Manufacturing, as well as other Manufacturing Support functions• Owned and organized annual calibration campaign with third party suppliers
