Responsible for all transportation planning and traffic engineering projects. This includes networking, proposal writing and completing the projects on budget and time. Assist office in writing proposals for on-call services and also assist with any transportation related projects in other areas of civil engineering. The overall job objective is to establish the transportation section for CWE, which doesn't have a traffic section.

Also, worked and directed projects such as the Jammu Smart City (transportation elements), Eastern Periphery Expressway (133 km.; Project Advisor and Acting Team Leader) ITS, Ranchi and Patna Cities Smart Road projects and Power Museum, Patna. In addition, mentoring and providing workshop on power point and office management areas. Attend all executive meetings with regard to hiring, budget and future road map for the company.

Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Section (TPS) is responsible for all aspects of transportation/traffic engineering/transportation modeling for the Company.The TPS team (total 12 members) consisting of 1 Senior Mananger, 4 Seniors, 6 Juniors and one (1)Senior CAD staff.When I started in June 2015; there were only two (2) staff in the transportation section. Now, we have a team of twelve (12); training (4) staff in our Bangalore Design office, India1. Completed the Sharjah Spatial Strategy project, which is to develop a strategic plan for the 10 Cities identified by the Sharjah Department of Town Planning & Survey (DTPS). The strategic plan considered all elements such as urban planning, transportation planning, environment, multimodal, forecasting etc. 2.Desert Rose National Housing project (a project by HH Sheikh Mohammed Ruler of Dubai), Dubai.The emirate’s plans for a sustainable city for over 16,000 people. The project is built in 14,000 hectares with over 20,000 plots. The project is one of the top 10 sustainable cities built at a cost of Dh20 billion. A detailed Traffic Impact Study will be conducted as required by local Dubai RTA for the project using a sustainable transportation model (a new approach, not used by many). 3. Pilot Project - Congestion Management in CBD, Kabul City, Afghanistan (April 2017)The Pilot Project locations that are selected for this project are diversified in their surroundings and face different types of traffic related problems, which needs solutions that are divergent and the application of various strategies needs to be applied. 4. Transit Master Plan and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Kabul City, Afghanistan (March 2017)The Master Plan (MP) and FS (Feasibility Study) will map (blueprint) the future of transit in Kabul City till the horizon year 2030. The FS will share a common vision of providing basic and essential services to support the rapid growth of Kabul City in the past few years.

As Director of Transportation at Ecotra UAE; I am responsible for Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering and ITS elements of projects. In addition oversee and review the input in the areas of Urban Planning, Transit Planning and Freight Planning for the projects. In-charge of recommending software needs and staff hiring for completing projects successfully.Currently we are engaged in building a "Smart Sustainable Satellite City" near Dakar, Senegal in West Africa. The major task is to assist the local authorities DGPU to achieve their objectives to build a Smart City with required amenities. This includes providing expertise on transportation, sewage, water, electrification and energy needs for the new City to be built in close to 2000 hectares called "DIAMNIADIO."

PB is the Program Manager for Makkah Mass Transit Program (MMTP) a $16 B project; the project objective is to make the Holy City of Makkah a world class City with new Metro lines (about 80+ new stations with 5 BRT lines and other local bus routes in the City). In addition purchase about 1200 new buses to serve the City. As a team member assisted in the development of evaluation methods for evaluating tenderer's for the various projects, including the Civil Works for both the Metro and Bus Procurement and Operations projects. I assisted in developing RFQ's, RFP's, tender evaluation criteria, scoring methodology, participated in technical evaluation, writing executive reports, attended tenderer interviews, risk evaluation and developing risk registry for the projects, financial evaluation of the tenderer submission and minutes of meetings for executive use.

I started Murthy Transportation Consultants (MTC) in 2006 ; the company was located in Fullerton, California. It was a multi-diciplinary transportation consultant company. MTC provided consulting services in the areas of Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, Travel Demand Forecasting, Transit Analysis, urban planning and Traffic Simulation. MTC was a SBE/ DBE/MBE Certified Firm in California. Worked at Rhdhv on two important projects. One was related to developing Freight Strategic Frame Work for the eThekweni Municipality, Durban, South Africa. The project consisted of six task reports that started with Staus Quo on current freight related data in the region to Freight Logistic Plans for implementation as the last task. The second project was on "Traffic Analysis of the Manzini Central Business District" in Swaziland. A traffic impact and anslysis of the vibrant downtown to make improvements for vehicles, pedestrians (lot of them) and other vehicles using the downtown.

As PM worked on signal synchronization projects across the LA County. I was responsible for verification of the monthly invoices and the annual budget was in the range of $50-80 million.I worked on the I-5 corridor between Artesian Blvd. And I-710 Limits (20 miles of freeway); coordinated with Caltrans (State Agency) and other leading agencies to set up MOU for the project, including reviewing financing options. The freeway project budget was close to $1 Billion, including ROW costs for expanding and re-aligning the freeway. At Metro between Feb 1996 and Feb 2000; I worked with the "Signal Support Group," part of the Highway Planning Division. I set up the Technical Advisory Committee for developing policy per Metro requirements for the County (Technical Guidelines for Signal Synchronization). Other projects included CMP, Air Quality, Ranking of Projects, Travel Demand Modelling of Metro model and Feasibility studies for the selection of bus/train corridors. In addition worked as traffic engineering expert on the panel to review the I-5 corridor VE Analysis with Caltrans as a representative of Metro.At Metro also assisted in policy development as related to signal synchronization, car pool/van pool and ranking of projects (for the selection of projects). It was required to work with technical committees and other agencies. The work also involved coordinating with the Metro members and advising the committee. As a Senior Traffic Engineer at Korve; I had the opportunity to setup the traffic simulation group. We worked on several BRT, LRT, ITS and Rail simulation projects throughout California. We used Synchro, Vissim, Nextel, Corsim and other modeling and traffic simulation tools based on project needs. The most notable projects were the Pasadena Blue Line At-grade Crossing; Wilshire BRT; Pomona Pilot ITS ($7.25 million); and Los Angeles MTA Orange Bus Line, which is a dedicated BRT line (no mixed traffic at all).In addition worked on several traffic impact studies and EIR traffic sections for several developments within Southern California.
