As a member of the New Product Engineering (NPE) team, I was responsible for development andintegration of new modules into the existent media server (HP OCMP). Worked mostly on Java andpartly on C++ (softDSP part).Played a pivotal role in the integration of an open source softDSP called spandsp for thedevelopment of a fac-simile feature, as a part of a $400 million deal. Also fixed a lot of bugs in thespandsp code.As a member of the Current Product Engineering (CPE) team, I was responsible for assessing thecustomer raised issues, debugging and communicating the same. Solved more than 90 customercases in less than 2 years.Effectively contributed for reduction of CR backlogs from 500 to under 10. Also handled manyescalation calls.Worked on industry standard telecom protocols and standards such as SS7, ISUP, TCAP, SIP, MRCP, RTSP and VoiceXML.Was a major contributor in the development of a Service Creation Environment (SCE) for HPOpenCall IVR consolidation and video solutions called as Open Call Studio. Also developed vxml and ccxml scripts using HP OC Studio software.Was responsible for the development and maintenance of various test suites called AutomatedTest Bed (ATB), EMAP, etc.Used HP Quality Centre (QC) software for standardizing the test cases and defect management.Was also responsible for creation and the network configuration of the lab servers (both physicaland virtual).Submitted 3 papers as a part of HP Techcon and HP Parasparam events. The concept of one of thepaper (Self-Adjusting Timers for Fax Transmission) was actually implemented in HP OCMP and used in the production environment.
