Development Professional working in Nepal and South Asia brings more than 25 years of experience in policy influence and community development. At present, I am working as a “Technical Advisor-National Gender and Governance” at United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Kathmandu, Nepal since August 2020 till date. I have also worked as a “Country Director Nepal” for more than 4.3 years in Magic Bus Global India Foundation Nepal (INGO) Project- “Advancing Adolescent Girls through Education to Livelihood”; an INGO working in GESI, Women Rights and Education Governance since April 2016; and UNDP- “Programme Specialist-National Capacity Development, Government of Nepal /UNDP/ MOGA/Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MOFALD) -for federal structures and functions; JICA National Project Officer in School Health and Nutrition Project under JICA /Ministry of Health and Ministry Education; bring to the role more than 25 years’ of experience mainly in Policy advocacy, Strategic Planning and Management, Resource Mobilization, financial management, emergency aid, rehabilitation and development programmes, G2G. I have wide range of work experience from Donor (JICA, USAID, DANIDA, SDC) to UN agencies (UNEP, UNDP, UNHABITAT & UNICEF) and Government of Nepal, Office of Prime Minister, and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Ministry of Health and Population, MOFALD, DoE/DEO, SWC, MOHA, CIAA, PSC, NPC, CCWB, DCWBs) to leading INGOs (IFES, FFF/DFID, Norwegian Refugee Council) in Nepal. During my 25 years work experience, I involved Strategic Planning, Project Management, Project appraisal, Capacity Development, Monitoring & Evaluation, Policy Analysis practitioner with professional experiences in Capacity Strengthening, Strategic Management, project development and management, capacity development project/programme designed, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and technical backstopping, public-private partnership approached and modalities; peace-conflict impact assessment; and social and business development, research and capacity assessment. I am also a trained facilitator for capacity development of staff members and implementing partners in M&E, Education, conflict management, human rights, peace building, humanitarian service, advocacy and campaign, leadership and good governance. I have experienced of Education Policy advocacy in macro level (national and international level) and micro level, linking with community.
